You Don’t Know What You’re Missing>>

Ellicia Ferrerio’s ambitious project focuses on the cropping of images in everyday life. Most images we see are only a 75% view of the original. Ellicia will produce four billboard posters around this theme that will be displayed in London in April 2010. She said of the project:

"It was inspired by too many hours watching digital television feed on an analogue CRT monitor. The image is cropped left and right of the central axis. I began to think about what this would mean if television was broadcast like this intentionally, and in fact how much information is there embedded in or removed from the final images we receive."

Digital Dark Room>>
Sandra Borszcz is offering free photography courses to young people with a desire to learn without the resources to pay. She will be targeting disadvantaged young people  to learn the dying art of darkroom photography, culminating in a chance to display their work in an exhibition and online on IdeasTap. She said of the award:

"There is no better feeling than knowing an idea you have a passion for, has been noticed by other people and they are rooting for you to make a success of the project.”

Y.I.C – Live Theatre>>

Youth in Celebration at the Unicorn Theatre is a project for 13-19 year-olds run by Liz B. Teenagers will get the opportunity to “say something about their community through a variety of media.”

“Winning makes me believe that I can make my dreams become a reality – cheesy as it may sound. Thank-you IdeasTap.”

Sew Your Own Workshops>>
Ally Burr’s community-minded project offers creative outreach in some of the most deprived areas of Liverpool. The workshops centre around re-working second-hand clothing over a cup of tea on a Thursday morning. Winning Innovators will allow Ally to put on an exhibition of all the garments created, as well as providing more longevity to the scheme.
