Signalbox Theatre

The Signalbox Theatre was founded in 2013. The origins of the company were inspired by Patrice Ledwith's late grandfather who encouraged her to always pay close attention to her surroundings, as it allows for a greater discovery. Patrice's grandfather dedicated most of his creative influence to the London Transport system during the second world war and through to his retirement. He became one of Patrice's biggest influences in her creative outlet and decision to form the Signalbox Theatre company.

Another inspiration came from an article written by Anita Singh, quoting Sir Ian McKellen, who claimed, "there will be no more British acting greats."

There is a growing fear that today's youths will not develop into fine tuned actors, because the evolution of thier talent has no room to flourish.

The team at Signalbox Theatre believe the work of an actor, writer, or director is never finished and there is always room to evolve. Theatre is a creative space, that provides freedom to find yourself. We encourage all of those who share our thinking to join us. History has provided today's generation with many invigorating techniques, plays and genres that must be explored. So I ask one question...

with the FREEDOM TO DISCOVER, WHICH JOURNEY WILL YOU TAKE?
