There is nothing wrong with the classics or big celebrity musicals. But... Britain is far behind the States when it comes to devising and more importantly actually producing and promoting brand new musicals. Musicals that don't follow the cliche or aren't purely sold due to a celebrity name or writer.
Music has progressed so far from the 70s and 80s yet, apart from a few musicals, there is a very limited genre of music used.
This group is aimed at promoting discussion on how new musicals can become a part of British theatre and what musical styles of new musicals could break through. It welcomes opinions from anyone!!!!
