"Definition: To raise dark is when a poker player makes a raise during the opening round of betting without looking at his or her cards. A move with inherent risk, usually designed to create action."
Raise Dark exists to create theatre with an edge. We aim to generate new work that sheds light on the darker side of modern life.

**** Everything Theatre
"A play about a recent event is always interesting, and tying it in with a smaller, personal story is a masterstroke... A strong play that has well-rounded characters that are emotionally engaging. Time zips by!"

**** One Stop Arts
"The play is exceptionally well written and features hilarious, but believable, characters and a plot with a seemingly infinite number of twists and turns. Page is clearly a writer to look out for; audiences should make the pilgrimage to this production and see this new play in action." Full review here.
Pilgrims is a darkly comic play set in real-time by Royal Court Studio writer Sarah Page, directed by Kevin Williams. Cast: Henry Gilbert, Dinarte Gouveia, Stephanie Hyam, Nick Simons and Carol Starks.
