• Treatments are very hard to write for me as I tend to describe to much but this has helped me get more of an idea of what I should be doing within them and hopefully I'll get better and better

• It would be really valuable if would-be script-writers like me (in my other life I've published a couple of Sherlock Holmes pastiches, such as Sherlock Holmes And The Case Of The Bulgarian Codex) could send our movie script treatment along with the script itself to someone who would help pep up the treatment, in return for an agreed fee. Otherwise we newcomers will all swan around until Kingdom Come and not feel we've done best by the script.

• What would really be helpful here on Ideastap is to have an opportunity to get your treatment read by some industry professionals who could give you proper feedback. I know you won't win most pitches/funds but It's really hard to tell whether your doing something wrong in your treatment or not.
  
  I have worked in an advertising production company and applied the same structure they use to my own treatments (Easy read, engaging language, images and a nice layout etc), and still get no respons. Maybe it's just the script that isn't considered strong enough but it would be very helpful to know so you don't sit for weeks perfecting a treatment that has (to someone else) obvious flaws.

• I wish I'd read this before submitting my first ever script to my first ever competition (sigh). Script was probably ok...my treatment was definitely terrible!
