I think the difference is print is no longer necessary for you to get the information you need. You can be an informed individual without it, but it can be still be beautiful, enjoyable and in some ways more tangible.

I think although digital media has made it more cut-throat for print publications, lots of publishers, magazines and artists have upped their game when creating printed products, which is great for readers as well as for the artists, writers and publishers who get a platform through these books and magazines. Digital and print media have different strengths, and we need them both!
