• WORKSHOP: Dr Brown will be leading a Clowning in Nature residential workshop in Wales.
  
  LOCATION:
  The retreat takes place at a secluded farmhouse in Wales, complete with wood fired stoves, sauna, and surrounded by acres of hills and wilds.
  
  PARTICIPATION:
  At this event participants come together to form a close community. Part of that means eating together and helping out with washing up and maintaining clean spaces.
  
  DATES & TIMES:
  Arrive 19 July, 5pm to settle in, communal dinner at 7pm
  Finishes with brunch on 25th July
  
  FOOD:
  We have an incredible chef coming along to prepare 3 delicious vegetarian meals a day.
  
  ACCOMODATION:
  All food and accommodation included in price. Accommodation is in shared dorm rooms in the cosy farmhouse.
  
  COST:
  The cost of this retreat is £550. Your place is not secure until we have received funds in full.

• BURSARY: LEARNING THE ROPES
  a 4 day workshop Mon 18th – Thurs 21st May 2015
  for 5 participants only: £395 fully residential
  
  A re-examination of the principles of creating art in a context that unites the everyday and the larger rhythms of nature, the tides and the seasons. Space to re-balance and exchange skills.
  
  Participants share a stunning beach style cottage with wood burner, patio, all mod cons, on the shore overlooking Morecambe Bay. Each day starts with a 10 minute walk along the cobbled shoreline to the Beach House – home, studio and work base of John Fox and Sue Gill of Dead Good Guides. Fee includes tuition, materials and home cooked lunches and evening meals. An opportunity to spend time in landscape creating playful artworks with John Fox and Sue Gill around the Beach House.

  SPECIAL OFFER: There is one bursary available to an emerging artist to be production assistant to Fox & Gill in addition to participating in the workshop. Their subsidised course fee would be £125 plus possible help towards travel costs. A practical person with stamina, used to working and rigging in the outdoors, preferably with their own transport.
