• I read a blog comparing Comedy writing to horror which was interesting , 'to expect the unexpected '. Personally horror seems simpler building tension in a more obvious way, look at jaws for instance , yes we get a big unexpected fright when we first see the shark but after that a we are remind ed by the ongoing tune/beat of the approaching horror, but even typing this now I realise this beat/tune is basically the equivalent of say a OFAH scene were they dress up as batman and robin, it's a undertone were aware the shark/joke is around and are just waiting for the bite. • Yeah, would have been nice to see more specific advice here. Don't get me wrong; what's here is great but it almost all applied to screenwriting in general and didn't provide anything which isn't already said in all of the other millions of places anyone gives writing advice.

• It's very brief, you haven't even touched on the Character goals and setting comedy hurdles up? Comedy characters are known their need to climb the class system this can included fame, Father Ted , Extras, OFAH, Faulty towers the list goes on. Black books was different in that respect, he didnt like either of the class systems which also makes interesting comedy, I would like to read a blog that dives into comedy characters more and how to write them.
